Mindfulness at Dundonald High

Dundonald High School now has a team of teachers fully trained to teach a mindfulness programme. All students in years 8-10 have a class each week in mindfulness which helps students to train their attention to be more aware of what is happening in the present moment. Evidence shows that mindfulness reduces anxiety, prevents recurrent depression, increases self-confidence, concentration and emotional wellbeing.
