Changes to start of term arrangements in January 2021

Good Afternoon,

Following the announcement from the Department for Education this morning, we will move to remote learning for all students from Wednesday 6th January.

Please ensure that your child has joined all of their Google Classrooms, codes for these will be re-emailed to all parents on Monday 4th. If you have difficulties connecting to the internet, please let us know. Paper copies of work will not be available except in extreme circumstances. Provision for key worker children will be available and more details will follow for anyone needing this option.

Year 8-11 will continue with online learning until the end of January.

Year 12 will return to face-to-face learning from 11th January.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to run the mock results day for Year 12 as planned. They will receive their results as soon as possible and take part in some careers activities when they resume face-to-face teaching.

GCSE exams scheduled to take place in January will go ahead.

As you can appreciate, this is a very sudden announcement during the holidays, we will update you with more information when we receive further clarification from the Department of Education.

I hope that you all have a happy and safe New Year.

Thank you
